Most expensive wine...

Read about this article and found it quite interesting. The wine is called Romani Conti 1997. It costs about $1500++ and can up to $2000 per bottle.

I did some research about this wine. Domaine de la Romanée-Conti (DRC) is an estate in Burgundy, France that produces white and red wine.

Statistic:
Romanée-Conti
Grape variety: Pinot Noir
Vineyard holding: 1.8 hectares (4.32 acres)
Average age of vines: 53 years
Average production: 450 cases
Over the years the Pinot has mutated into 50-60 different variants within this one vineyard.

Considering the quantity of the bottles they can produce and its limited vinyard holding, it is not surprise that the wine is so expensive. But I would think this wine is hard to come by as many wine investors has already kept it or you would not be able to get it at all since there are so many wine lovers around the world. Good things are hard to come by, isn't it?
